Good Day Spring Creek Neighbors,
There are lots of activities going on this month. Current session of school is ending, graduations, Spring Creek Memorial Day Parade, horse and auto races across the country, vacation planning and expect you all can add many more to the list. Time to really enjoy the summer.
Spring Creek VIP will be distributing “Spring Creek Neighborhood Watch” brochures to each household in Spring Creek. We invite all of you to join; there is no fee, no meetings, just requesting for an increased awareness by you and members of your family of your surroundings. When and if you see or hear anything suspicious we ask that you immediately call 911. The Neighborhood Watch program was introduced here in Spring Creek in the 1970’s. The new brochure reflects an update of that original program

Good Day Spring Creek Neighbors,
Excluding the vehicles parked on the west end of Chattington and Rolling Acres there has been more than the normal number of vehicles parked on the streets late at night rather than in the driveways and garages. Likewise, we have noticed “contents” in those vehicles. In either case that is an invitation for a “burglary-motor vehicle (BMV) or a broken car window (criminal mischief), an aggravation that none of us need. Unfortunately, our crime report stats are reflecting that situation.
The Spring Creek neighborhood looks great, flowers in full bloom, tree leaves out, timely rain showers and the tornados missed us. For what more can we wish! We wish everyone a great Easter holiday.

Good Day All,
Spring has arrived in Spring Creek! Daffodils, tulips and Bradford pear trees are blooming big time. That is the good news, now it is time to start doing the lawn work.
There have been several instances of mail being taken from mailboxes here in Spring Creek. This is a federal offense. Some of the mail was “outgoing”. We suggest that you never leave “outgoing” mail in your mailbox. Take it to an official U. S. Post Office mailbox (there is one in the Spring Creek shopping center at Coit and Beltline) or directly to the post office. “Incoming” mail is another problem. All we can suggest is that you retrieve your mail as soon as possible or install a lockable mailbox.
Spring Creek alley reconstruction project is proceeding; we have presented our case to the entire city council via an “open mike” session. To date, there are no alley reconstruction projects included in the 2012 Dallas bond program as presented by the city manager. Negotiations will be ongoing these next few months at city hall between the city manager and the council. We will continue to present our case at every opportunity. Sandy Greyson, our city council representative will be briefing her constituents at town hall meetings (yet to be scheduled) before the general election in November 2012. Please attend these town hall briefings to show our desire to have our Spring Creek alleys reconstructed soon. When we become aware of the town hall meeting schedule we will notify you via email. As citizens we have the opportunity to vote for/reject the 2012 Dallas Bond program at the upcoming November general election
